The General Overseer of Believers Love World Church, a.k.a Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome sacked about 1000 employees of the church comprising of pastors and workers for offences a reliable source hinted has to do with sexual immorality. Those affected had been warned of 'lagging behind' in their duties. Those affected by the sack action include workers in the Cyber Ministry, which is in charge of all information technology services and the unit known as Rhapsody Ministry.
The sacked pastors and several workers were however advised to reapply to the church, for future consideration. What informed their sack, we learnt was based on financial and sexual related issues. Before the axe fell on them, Pastors Chris Oyakhilome had read the riot act against indecent dressing in the church. It was obvious that those sacked were those whose department and ministries had more reports of financial and immorality cases.
The soft spoken man of God wielded the big axe, after his trip to South Africa, where he had gone on a trip before the commencement of the World Cup, The offices of the affected pastors and workers located at the church auditorium on Oregun Road, and Billingsway Road also around Oregun area of Ikeja, Lagos, has since been under lock and key.
