Erelu Jesu confesses at last, as Oyedepo curses

Same print magazine that had reported Erelu Jesu’s confession has also come out to inform readers that finally the truth has prevailed over falsehood. There had been a follow-up so as to get to the root of the whole story and Erelu-Jesu has finally owned-up to her falsehood. The claim of Erelu-Jesu that though she was neck-deep in occultic practices and had even empowered many renowned men of God in the past has now been revealed to hold no water. All the accusations and indictment of occultic practices have been found to be just a product of the imagination of the woman.
Indeed, she must be on satanic assignment of causing discord in the body of Christ. According to the General Overseer of Love of Christ Global Bible Church, Prophet Olabode Odunayo, Erelu-Jesu has openly begged him for forgiveness, after they were both invited by the Commissioner of Police of Osun State. She was said to have made a fool of herself when she could not substantiate her claims in the presence of one of the prophets whom she claimed carries rituals every night. She confessed that her claims to have also given powers to Bishop Oyedepo are falsehood. She also maintained that all she said in the VCD was told her by a woman whose identity she could not remember and whose address she didn't know.

But Bishop Oyedepo during a session on empowerment had an opportunity to deny any link to occultism. In apparent response to Erelu Agbaye's claim, Oyedepo thundered in front of the attentive Congregation. "There is no satanic institution that can confront me to say that I share anything with them. I challenge them to do so. The Anointing on this altar is one of the Landmark events of this Generation. That is why some fellows say that they gave me power. I curse that Blasphemy. I command that tongue to seize forever.

Oyedepo, who is also the Chancellor of Covenant University, continued, "Everytime they see something working in this part of the world, they say it is charm. They Holy Spirit is the greatest charm that I know, and that is what I am using. I operate only from the platform, except you would be deceived.”

Oyedepo further said; "They said I buried a live cow in this ground. Think about it now, how can you all leave your various homes just to come and worship a cow here, does it makes any sense?" he asked rhetorically.

 “The decision of the fiery faith preacher to react to the issue came as a surprise to many in the congregation, because his approach in the past of the past had been to ignore such Allegations. A lot of them reckoned that Oyedepo, who oversees a congregation of more than 50,000 worshippers in Canaanland rarely reacts to negatives reports about him, wondering why he attached so much of importance to Erelu Agbaye's Allegation. Not even the regularly television attacks on his person and work from co-preachers like Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly, Lagos, and Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of the Christ Embassy in about two decade of the Ministry's relocation to Lagos, had moved him into making a direct pronouncement," a close source to the clergy wondered.

Prophet Odunayo also described as a campaign of calumny an allegation he was engaged in occultism. He rained curses on himself that his ministry will ultimately perish if he is using occultic or diabolical power to promote God's work. Prophet Odunayo, aka Baba Love at a press conference in Ibadan further declared saying "I believe, if it was God that called me, definitely, this ministry will continue to blossom and if not God, it will perish. He made the assertion while reacting to a story initiated by one Prophet J.R Oluwatimilehin aka Erelu Jesu.

Prophet Odunayo maintained vehemently that it is the grace of God working in his life and so he has no reason to use diabolical powers to promote his ministry. Speaking on, Prophet Odunayo stated that Erelu Jesu claimed that she and Baba Love hold membership of a secret cult society, adding that she had once accompanied Prophet Odunayo to sprinkle some occultic millets on the ground of his church at Okebale, which is to attract a large congregation of worshippers to his church.

However, in a sharp reaction to the series of allegation, Prophet Odunayo said it was a campaign of calumny from a faceless woman who is out to cajole the public for selfish motives. He disassociated himself from all her false claims. According to him, in August 2009, we received reports that a video CD was being circulated by one prophetess Oluwatimileyin aka 'Erelu Jesu,' in which she claimed to have been the power behind my ministry. We sought for the video CD and got a copy. After we watched it, we discovered that this self acclaimed Prophetess actually said many defamatory words accusing us of using occultic powers in my church at Oke Baale Oshogbo.

The church Lawyer, Barrister Ifedayo Olowoyo, thereafter wrote a letter to 'Erelu Jesu' asking her to substantiate her defamatory words or be prepared for a court action. Instead of responding to the Lawyer's letter, Erelu Jesu wrote a petition to the commissioner of police Oshogbo, claiming that I wanted to assassinate her. She also said the assassin was the one that came to deliver the Lawyer's letter at her residence. He stated further that we were both invited by the commissioner of police for an interview.

He called members of public to disregard such rumour because there was no aorta of truth in it. Prophet Olabode disclosed that Erelu had already begged him through the commissioner of police, Osun State command, after Prophet Odunayo had slammed her with a court litigation for defamation of character and apology as well as payment of N50m damages.

Erelu Jesu at this point was said to have appealed to the CP to help her beg Prophet Odunayo for forgiveness, she said her illiteracy was the cause of the whole problem and she promised not to sell the VCD anymore. There and then, I forgave and prayed for her, revealed Baba love.

Likewise, Reverend Akinyemi has given his verdict that he is not supporting any pastor as many believe but he is just talking about some of the few pastors who are born-again men of God.
