Amos Adamu Offers To Sell FIFA Hosting Rights for £500,000

Report has revealed that Nigeria's representative on the World Cup hosting 24-man-strong FIFA committee, Amos Adamu, offered to sell his votes in the contest to host the 2018 World Cup.

A popular UK sunday newspaper (Sunday Times) has a video footage showing Adamu requesting for £500,000 for "a personal project" in return for his support to undercover reporters posing as US businessmen. Adamu, President of the West Africa Football Union, was asked on video whether payment for a ‘private project’ would have an effect on his World Cup vote. He replied: “Of course it will, because certainly if you are to invest in that, that means you also want the vote”.
He faces possible suspension from the world body.
